Chesil Revisited

9th September 2006

This was Tom’s first open water dive trip and a chance for him to finish what we should have done in the pool – if it hadn’t been 1.5m deep!  After a very early start and a realisation that we were going to dive on the largest springs of the year we arrived at Chesil to find it flat calm and beautifully sunny.  Last time we were here it was an amazing thunderstorm over the bay, hopefully not this time.

Once the faff had been performed – no one had dived in the UK for over a year tom and Jake hit the water and only 20minutes behind schedule – not bad.  Three more dives followed and Tom completed all of his sheltered water dives and his first 2 open water dives.  Not a bad days work.  Sam and Sophie had a good time, especially scoffing strawberries and playing on Kay’s iPod.  Suzanne spent the day dreaming of next summer when she could get wet and Kay and Jo dreamt of what they could be doing if their other halves weren’t divers!
